Blooms through early fall frosts and provides late-season colour to the garden. Very hardy and easy to grow. Once established, will quickly expand into a large clump. It is not aggressive but it does self-seed freely, providing you with plenty of plants each year. Attracts butterflies.

Smooth Aster seeds have a low germination rate, so plant lots. You can sow the seeds directly into the garden in late fall. If starting indoors, moist cold stratify for 2-4 weeks.
